Sometimes the past doesn’t stay in the past. EMDR is a research-backed approach that helps your brain reprocess what happened — so the memory loses its grip on your body and your day.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help the brain integrate traumatic experiences using bilateral stimulation — guided eye movements, gentle tapping, or sound. EMDR is recognized by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as an effective treatment for trauma, PTSD, and anxiety disorders.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR doesn’t require you to retell the story in detail. It works with how the experience is stored in the nervous system — and helps reprocess it so it no longer triggers the same emotional or physical response.
In our work together you might choose weekly EMDR sessions or condensed EMDR intensives. Many clients notice meaningful symptom relief within only a few sessions. We’ll move at the pace your body and your story require.
